Clemens Berger
Clemens Berger has been with Louisenthal for over 18 years. His management and sales achievements in the banknote and security paper area led to his promotion to global sales and marketing director in 2011. He has significant industry experience in the printing and paper sector, including positions at Haindl Papier GmbH, Myllykoski Ltd and XEROX Ltd, where he gained extensive and wide-ranging experience in printing technology and paper manufacturing. He holds a master’s degree in material science from Helsinki University of Technology.
Dr. Alfred Kraxenberger
Kraxenberger has been a member of the Louisenthal executive team since 2013, responsible for R&D, technology and operations. He is head of R&D for the Banknote Solutions division. With a doctorate in physics, Kraxenberger began his career in 1996 at G+D in banknote processing system development. He then moved as a project manager to the automotive division of ESG GmbH. After returning to Giesecke+Devrient and holding various management positions for adaptation and application development, Kraxenberger was responsible for global product management in G+D’s Currency Management Solutions department. In 2009, he took on additional responsibility for the business field Authentication Systems. He was a member of the scientific advisory board of the Bavarian Research Foundation between 2017 and 2022. In 2018, Kraxenberger was appointed to join the strategic advisory council of the Bavarian state initiative Bayern Innovativ GmbH.
Andreas Schmid
Andreas Schmid has been a member of the Management Board since 1 June 2024. He is responsible for Finance and Support, which includes the areas of controlling, finance, purchasing, IT, human resources, security and process excellence. The business graduate comes from the parent company Giesecke+Devrient (G+D), where he has held various management positions in finance since 2000. He was initially responsible for the Mergers & Acquisitions department. In 2004, Schmid took over as Head of Group Controlling and Investments, reporting directly to the Group CFO. Prior to joining G+D, Schmid worked for Deutsche Beteiligungsgesellschaft (DGB) and IBM.
